JOB SUMMARY

The VP of Transitions and Contracts is responsible for oversight of the onboarding and offboarding process for hotel properties, licensing, asset management and receiverships.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of directly related experience in real estate, specifically hotels.
  • Must satisfy background requirements needed for liquor license disclosures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices as it relates to hotel operations, taxes and accounting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of hotel & acquisition purchase agreements and service contracts.
  • Experience with licensing practices – liquor, permits, receivership, hotel operations, etc.
  • Understands the processes related to asset management and foreclosures.

 JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as a quarterback to the onboarding and offboarding of hotels.
  • Review purchase and sale agreements for hotel transactions and oversee hotel prorations.
  • Serve as receiver for hotel receivership including oversee hotel operations and financial reporting and prepare receivership reports.
  • Serve as the Corporate representative for depositions and as the designed signatory for official company documents and license applications related to all corporate entities and hotel property agreements.
  • Arrange for the procurement and financing of all leased vehicles made available to company properties.
  • Assist the contracts department in the review and negotiation of contracts.
  • Handle audits of insurance programs.
  • Address ownership questions and issues related to asset administration; works with tax, payroll, treasury, and other key departments, as required.
  • Calculate working capital for hotel cash needs, coordinate opening of bank accounts and review owner loan documents for cash management arrangements
  • Serve as Asset Manager for hotels under asset management agreements
  • Assist with pre-opening and transition services of hotels under construction
