As a Kitchen Manager, you will fill a support role in supporting your hotel’s financial goals through management of the daily operation of the PM kitchen operations of the food and beverage department.  You will be responsible  for assisting in the preparation of all food items, based on standardized recipes, for all applicable Food and Beverage Outlets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product. He/she is also responsible for assisting the Executive Steward in ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen, work and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.

This position will be directed and supervised by the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef.  The primary responsibilities for this position will be focused on routine operational tasks and supervising others in their operational assignments.   Other duties may be assigned as required by the business and /or training for career advancement.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have FUN in a team environment.
  • Have two or more years of progressive experience in Hotel Culinary department with an la carte menu  or other successful F&B service industry with similarly-sized operation; or a Culinary Degree with one or more years of progressive experience in Hotel Food & Beverage experience.  Banquet experience a plus.
  • Assist the Executive Chef, Banquet Chef, and Executive Steward to oversee all PM kitchen work areas including cooks and stewards.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen by implementing and maintaining a standard of "Clean as You Go."
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef to maintain proper record keeping (receiving tickets, invoices, and transfer logs) according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef to supervise staff in all food preparation, including proper receiving and storage of all food and food-related items.
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef to expedite peak meal periods by maintaining a "hands on" approach.
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef to complete all paperwork required by Aimbridge Hospitality on a timely basis.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • The Kitchen Manager will mainly work the PM shift, including weekends and holidays.  On occasion, the Kitchen Manager may also be scheduled to work AM or mid-shifts, based on hotel business needs.
