The full-time Loss Prevention Officer must have a minimum of (2) yrs. of previous hotel security experience. Able to walk for long periods of time, complete reports, and assist guests/associates in need. The ability to work flexible and rotating shifts, as well as weekends and holidays is required.

Job Overview

The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the security and safety of our guests, associates and property. Our officers walk throughout the hotel and perimeter to secure the area and assist any guest(s) in need. Must keep constant communications with the hotel staff, able to communicate via radio, generate reports as needed, and be available for any assistance.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Two (2) years minimum of previous hotel security experience. Previous work within a 350-500+ room hotel and/or previous law enforcement experience a plus.
  • Have a current Class D license.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
  • Ability to complete reports, have good communication skills, strong customer service focus, and strong attention to details. 
  • Must also be able to stand for long periods of time, walk the hotel and its perimeter, as well as the ability to climb stairs. 
  • Must also be able to observe, identify potential security and safety risks and be familiar with using a 2 way radios.
  • Must have knowledge of basic First Aid and either have a current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to obtain certification.

*This is a full-time security position. Candidate must be able to work flexible and rotating shifts to include AM's, PM's, Midnights, as well as weekends and holidays.
