We are currently looking for an Engineer to join the team to help support the overall operations of the engineering department and ensure each element of both properties are in working order. If your experience fits this description and flexible for mid day and evening shifts , apply today!

What you will be doing

  • Support the overall operations of the engineering department with particular focus on assuring each element of the property is in perfect working order. 
  • Be enthusiastic and engaging with all guest interactions when performing job duties in guest rooms, public spaces, back of the house or while walking the property. 
  • Responsible for responding immediately to both guest and employee maintenance issues that arise. 
  • Be passionate about equipment working properly and strive to anticipate preventative maintenance problems. 
  • Assist with delivers and help store supplies and equipment upon arrival to the hotel.
  • Pay particular attention to maintenance detail "owning" maintenance needs around the hotel and take pride in perfect execution and leaving a personal touch.
  • Walk the property with a critical ey and be proactive in monitoring the general condition of the building and its surroundings at all times.
  • Taking initiative to repair defects as they are encountered on the property
  • Interact with both guest and fellow associates alike being an active participating member of the team
  • Embrace a fun and comfortable working environment eager to pitch in where and when possible
  • Knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment such as chillers, boilers, water softeners, and refrigeration equipment
  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, maintenance of records of power, water and fuel consumption
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing occupational safety and health
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management team

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years hands-on experience working on minor electrical, painting, plumbing, carpentry and wallpapering 
  • Ability to climb, crawl and lift at least 25-50lbs. and stand on feet for at least eight hours 
  • Previous hotel maintenance experience a plus
  • Ability to work any scheduled shift or day, including holidays and weekends
  • Reliable transportation
