The Holiday Inn Convention Center Stevens Point is searching for a detail-oriented customer service professional who enjoys a flexible schedule, working overnight, in an independent environment.  The ideal candidate will enjoy a balanced work day of reconciling daily hotel revenues as well as some guest interaction as late-night guests arrive and early morning guests depart the hotel.  Hotel staff may be scheduled at either the Holiday Inn Convention Center or Holiday Inn Express.

Successful employment in this position can result in further opportunities for advancement in the Front Office department, or in accounting at this hotel or other IHG or Aimbridge hotels.

The position reports to the hotel Assistant General Manager and Front Office Manager.  Benefits include InterContinental Hotels travel program and hotel benefits, 401k plan, paid vacation days, and select benefits through Colonial Life.


Position Summary:

Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and, on a daily basis, summarizes and compiles information for the hotel's financial records into a spreadsheet.

Verifies all account postings and balances made during the day by front desk agents.  

Is able to function as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures. Run End of day process / Night audit process on the Property management software.


  1. Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
  2. Posts guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the front desk agents during the day.
  3. Verifies all account postings and balances.
  4. Prepare of End of day procedure.
  5. Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).
  6. Transfer financial information from PMS reports to the Daily Income Journal (DIJ).
  7. Ensure the Daily Income Journal (DIJ) is balanced daily.
  8. Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
  9. Knows how to operate PMS, typewriters, and other front office equipment.
  10. Understand and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.


Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used by the guests who visit the hotel.

Experience: Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks preferred, but not required.

Compensation:  $9.50 per hour
