The Holiday Inn Stevens Point is searching for a motivated, observant candidate to join the team at Stevens Point's most popular indoor water splash park.

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center is seeking a team-oriented individual to help provide great guest experiences and vigilant guest safety in the hotel's Splash Point waterpark.  The water park is open every day, but the waterslide is only in operation Friday evenings, all day Saturday, and Sunday mornings.  The ideal candidate for this position will have or desire to receive a lifeguard certification, feel comfortable maintaining and enforcing hotel pool safety standards, and be attentive to things happening in the pool area.  Flexible part-time weekend hours are required.

Position Title: Splash Point Supervisor Department: Waterpark

Reports to: Executive/Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Essential Functions:

Ensure that all staff becomes certified in a timely manner.

Maintain and hold staff accountable for the cleanliness of the pool area and party areas as well as other tasks for the staff.

Schedule all staff for pool area.

Book all pool parties and make BEO’s for each party. Return all calls from guests.

Conduct all pool parties.

Order all pool party supplies and keep them stocked.

Keep all First Aid kits up-to-date and stocked with supplies in all areas.

This position also works in housekeeping as needed.

Able to swim and be certified.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, you may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel/pool area.

All other duties as assigned.


Weekly Guidelines:

Sunday:

 Work in housekeeping based on hotel needs. Work party/pool as needed.

Monday:

 Splash Point hours not needed (maybe housekeeping based on hotel needs)

Tuesday:

 Splash Point hours not needed (maybe housekeeping based on hotel needs)

Wednesday:

Splash Point hours: Returning phone call, booking parties, and getting BEO’s done. Maintain general upkeep of the pool and game area. Create and post schedules, order supplies needed and stock first aid kits. Other paperwork as needed.

Thursday:

Finish any work from Wednesday that was not finished. Work in housekeeping based on hotel needs.

Friday:

 Work in housekeeping based on hotel needs. Work party/pool as needed.

Saturday:

 Work in housekeeping based on hotel needs. Work party/pool as needed.


Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, And Ability:

This individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have the ability to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and ability.

Ability to push and/or pull laundry bins weighing up to 20lbs.

Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, and extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks.

Ability to communicate effectively with associates, as well as guests.

Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines. Detail Oriented


Licenses or certificates:

Lifeguard certification.
