What you will be doing

  • Accommodating guests by making them feel welcome, informed, and cared for during the entire length of their stay
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs
  • Handle all aspects of guest registration, which can include expediting the check-in/check-out process with swift computer and cash register skills
  • Following hotel rate structures, discounts, and selling strategies
  • Issuing room keys
  • Informing guests about hotel features and amenities, as well as local attractions
  • Satisfying special requests whenever possible
  • Preparing hotel F&B items at Hyatt Place Bakery Cafe
  • Assisting with kitchen assembly duties
  • Servicing our meeting room events
  • Finding solutions quickly in order to confidently address and resolve guest concerns
  • Remain adaptable and flexible in a consistently busy hotel environment
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments and utilize your complete knowledge of the hotel operation


  • Previous guest service experience as well as an ability to communicate well with our guests and associates
  • Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related hospitality field
  • Must have schedule flexibility with both AM and PM shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing
  • Ability to learn quickly and ability to work in a fast paced position with guest interaction
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull moderate weight (25 pounds or greater)
  • Must posess intermediate computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
